Branching Out: Photography

I'm not qualified to do this.
I don't even have a fancy camera...yet. ;) (September's my Birthday MONTH!!! hint, hint...wink, wink, wink)

But I love to take photographs.  LOTS of the THEM.
And just recently, I have been playing around in the editing department.

I want to learn more about how photography works...and even though, I'd love to start this journey with a brand NEW DSLR camera.  I fear I am "stuck" with my Point and Shoot for the time being.

It's a good camera.  I know it has a LOT more capabilities than I even know.  I want to learn.
I'd like to "use what I got" so to speak.

Perhaps when the time comes, I will be ready to play with a NEW DSLR and know a little more about what I'm doing.
..........................................

I thought about starting a NEW blog.  Strictly for photography.  I even had a really catchy name picked out and everything....started designing it....
Then I realized: I DON'T HAVE TIME for another blog!
Silly me.

So, I will post my pictures here.  I'm going to participate in a few weekly photo challenges because, frankly, I have no idea where to start....maybe I'll lose interest.  Who knows?

I hope you don't mind.

I know some of you are already AMAZING Photographers, so I look forward to learning from you.  (TIPS and TRICKS welcome!)

  1. I take "okay" pictures. But my friend...she has a SERIOUS camera and lens and even took a class on it. She did my avatar picture and usually does my Christmas cards too. That is one thing I want to learn how to do.
