A WEEK of Firsts

So, while Samantha has been fighting the evil stomach virus...

Cashton has been growing up!  and FAST!
It was just this past Sunday when we celebrated 5 months.  Apparently, we wasn't waiting around for that 6 month mark for much of anything.  Literally 5 months and 1 day, he rolled over from his back to his belly.  Just like that.  Now we're lucky if we get him to stay on his back for more than a minute.  Add to that, he's does a mini-worm wiggle and MOVES!
LORD HELP ME! :)
No, honestly, we are so proud of him!

Next up....5 months and 2 days, Cash got his first taste of rice cereal--mixed with liquid gold, of course  (no, not Goldschalger, breastmilk you crazy)  I have read up and down about when to start with this stuff.  Honestly, I think he was ready over a month ago.  He's been able to sit up supported for a long time.  He's been grabbing for all of our food.  He stares at anything we put in our mouth.  He puts anything you give him in his mouth (toes included...his only) He cluster feeds like crazy at the end of the day....sometimes ALL day!   So, we held off until 5 months.
Cashton's First Taste.
Daddy gets to feed him!  YAY!
LOL!  Those faces always crack me up!

Man, he gobbled that stuff up!
In fact, the first day, he got mad we didn't get it in his mouth fast enough.

Day 2 of cereal:
 What a champ!

Are you ready for 5 months and 3 days?

You sure?

It's hard on this mama to have all these milestones in one week!
Cashton sits up

It is really hard for him to focus though...those toes are sooo close...he mainly sits for a little bit then dives to get a mouth-ful of them tootsies.

OUR BABY BOY is getting SO BIG!

  2. Oh my goodness. What a big boy already!!! He is so adorable. How much does he weigh? Our neighbor's little boy started walking at 8 months. I have a feeling that's gonna be Cashton. Mehret is rolling back to front, front to back but no sitting and she gags when I tried cereal. She's 12 lbs. 15 oz. It's so cool how each of God's little miracle babies are so unique. And Sam, she's such a HAM!!!
