DIY Dollhouse: Kids' Room

WELCOME TO DIY DOLLHOUSE WEEK!

We are going to take it room by room....and reveal the whole thing at the end....

First up the Kids' Room :

Inspired by Samantha's new found love of GREEN:
The walls are painted green (using our leftover kitchen paint) accented with fabric wallpaper that is ModPodged in place.
The Green "Wood" flooring is Scrapbook paper (found at Hobby Lobby), also Mod Podged into place.

Beds:  Wood Blocks (cut and sanded by Randizzle himself)  Painted white
Mattresses: Old sheets sewn into a "pillow" and stuffed with folded flannel
Bedding: Cotton fabric folded around the mattress, hot glued into place and then all hot glued onto the wood bed so it cannot be removed ;)
Pillows: Made from jersey cotton, stuffed with batting

Chipboard Letters to have their names above their beds:

Dresser: 2x4 wooded block (cut by daddy), painted white.  Drawers are wooden rectangles (found at Hobby Lobby in the wood pieces section...got a whole assortment bag for $2 or $3)  Knobs: Beads all hot glued on.
Almost everything in this room we had in our house already...the only purchases: 2 pieces scrapbook paper & the wooden rectangles for the drawers.  :)  Nifty Thrifty!

That's it for today! I'll be back tomorrow with the next room :)
